Laws (Under Lilionna's Reign)

SECTION 1

Chapter 1

In accordance to the territorial agreement of the Ad Octo Tempora, any act of violence within those lands will be punished by death by the reigning King/Queen of Elemental Ice. As well as, any known to assist in the resistance or escape of one deemed guilty of violence in the Ad Octo Tempora will be punished by death.

Unnecessary violence within Ice territory will be taken care of with a warning on the first occasion, removal of a claw on the second occasion, removal of a paw on the third occasion, banishment on the fourth occasion, and if returns after banishment, will be put to death.

If one is banished from the Ice territory, and returns without means of the utmost importance, will be put to death. As well as, any known to assist the resistance or escape of one deemed guilty of returning after banishment will be punished by death.

Chapter 2

Paid labor of unrelated children under the age of sexual maturity is prohibited and punishable by anything from removal of claws to removal of paws. As well as, any known to assist in the command of paid labor from these children will be punished in the same fashion.

Unpaid labor of unrelated children under the age of sexual maturity is prohibited and punishable by anything from removal of paws to death. As well as, any known to assist in the command of unpaid labor from these children will be punished in the same fashion.
   
Unpaid labor of unrelated adults is prohibited under the circumstances that they do not owe you a debt of the same worth and punishable by anything from removal of claws to banishment. As well as, any known to assist in the command of unpaid labor from the adults will be punished in the same fashion.

Chapter 3

The act of stealing from another for the amount of µ0 and µ50 by a child under the age of sexual maturity is illegal and punishable by a fee of µ500 [which is payed through community service, army service, or direct payment] or jail time of 180 days.

The act of stealing from another for the amount of µ50 and µ500 by a child under the age of sexual maturity is illegal and punishable by a fee of µ2,000 [which is payed through community service, army service, or direct payment] and jail time of 365 days.

The act of stealing from another for the amount of µ0 and µ50 by an adult is illegal and punishable by a fee of µ1,000 [which is payed through community service, army service, or direct payment] and possibly the removal of claws depending on the severity of the crime.

The act of stealing from another for the amount of µ50 and µ500 by an adult is illegal and punishable by a fee of µ5,000 [which is payed through community service, army service, or direct payment] and anything from the removal of claws to jail time of 5 years.

The act of stealing from another for the amount of µ500+ by a child under the age of sexual maturity and an adult is illegal and punishable by a fee of µ5,000-µ10,000 [which is payed through community service, army service, or direct payment] and anything from the removal of claws to death.

Chapter 4

Any act of selling military secrets or plans to another Element or enemy is illegal and considered a form of treason. It is punishable by anything from jail time of 10+ years to death. As well as, any known to assist in the selling of military secrets or plans to another Element or enemy will be punished in the same fashion.

Any act of selling court secrets or plans to another Element or enemy is illegal and considered a form of treason. It is punishable by anything from jail time of 7+ years to death. As well as, any known to assist in the selling of court secrets or plans to another Element or enemy will be punished in the same fashion.

Any act of selling High Council secrets or plans to another Element or enemy is illegal and considered a form of treason. It is punishable by death. As well as, any known to assist in the selling of High Council secrets or plans to another Element or enemy will be punished in the same fashion.

Any act of defecting to another Element or group is considered an act of treason during war times. It is punishable by death if the individual is captured or return to the Ice territory. As well as, any known to assist in the defecting of an individual will be punished accordingly.

Chapter 5

Any act of accidental/coincidental killing is classified as Creoslaughter. An act of Creoslaughter by any individual is punishable by anything from nothing to jail time of 5+ years depending on the severity and cause of the accident.

Any act of unplanned murder of another is classified as Second Degree Murder. An act of Second Degree Murder by any individual is punishable by anything from banishment to death.

Any act of planned or premeditated murder of another is classified as First Degree Murder. An act of First Degree Murder by any individual is punishable by death in all cases.

SECTION 2

Chapter 1

An individual must be at least 6 months before the age of sexual maturity to join the Elemental Ice army. All wishing to become new recruits will be tested on physical, mental and spiritual strength. Only the top competitors will be accepted into the army/navy.

An individual who does not get accepted into the army/navy during recruit testing may come again in a years time. If failed a second time, then the individual may no longer attempt to join the military.

An individual who commits or is involved with crimes of war, but in the general opinion of the court and jury is innocent and had a positive effect on the war, will not be charged of any crime and all accusations will be cleaned from their record.

During any war time, the High Council may draft all males at the age of at least 6 months before the age of sexual maturity. Drafts will never include children or elders.

Chapter 2

When accused of a crime, the suspect will be held in custody until the time of a hearing which (depending on the accusation) may include a judge and a jury of ten adults who are not involved with the conflict.

An individual may not be held in custody longer than 3 days if not rightfully accused of any crime.

An individual of military status may only enter and search the home of a civilian if allowed entrance or has a search warrant granted from a local court system.

A suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty, and will maintain all personal rights until the moment of a guilty judgement. Even those who plead guilty will maintain their rights until their verdict.

Chapter 3

The reign of Elemental Ice is an inherited throne, the firstborn of the current King/Queen has first right to succeed. Next would be the siblings of the heir, then the siblings of the King/Queen themselves. If no family is able to receive the throne, the King/Queen must proclaim a successor on their deathbed.

If the King/Queen dies before the successor is named, this choice then falls into the hands of Elemental Ice's High Council. A democratic vote of these council members will lead to the next King/Queen of Ice.

Ice's High Council is chosen by the current King/Queen, as it is very uncommon for these creatures to change, the King/Queen do have the authority to do so.

The word of the King/Queen is law and final, above all.
